Radysy ( German  Radishöh ) is a village in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Biała Piska ( town and country municipality Bialla , 1938-1945 Gehlenburg) in the powiat Piski ( Johannisburg district ).

Geographical location

Radysy is located in the south-east of the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship , 16 kilometers east of the district town of Pisz ( German  Johannisburg ).

history

Until 1945 was Radishöh, which originally consisted only of a large yard, a village within the township Bialla (1938-1945 Gehlenburg , Polish Biala Piska ) in the county Johannesburg in Administrative district Gumbinnen (1905: Administrative district Allenstein ) in the Prussian province of East Prussia .

As a result of the war, the place came to Poland in 1945 together with all of southern East Prussia and received the Polish form of the name “Radysy”. It became independent and is now the seat of a Schulzenamt ( Polish Sołectwo ) and as such a place within the urban and rural community of Biała Piska in the Powiat Piski , until 1998 the Suwałki Voivodeship , since then it has belonged to the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship .

Before 1945 Radishöh was parish in the Protestant Church of Bialla in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Roman Catholic Church of Johannisburg in the Diocese of Warmia . Today, on the Catholic side, Radysy belongs to the parish Biała Piska in the Diocese of Ełk of the Roman Catholic Church in Poland and to the Protestant parish in Biała Piska, a subsidiary of the Pisz parish in the Masurian diocese of the Evangelical Augsburg Church in Poland .

Radysy is located on a side road that leads south from the town of Biała Piska to the Podlaskie Voivodeship . There is no train connection.
