Kolonia Kawałek is a small place in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , which belongs to the Gmina Biała Piska ( town and country municipality Bialla , 1938 to 1945 Gehlenburg ) in the powiat Piski ( Johannisburg district ).
Geographical location
Kolonia Kawałek is located in the south-east of the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship, 15 kilometers east of the district town of Pisz ( German Johannisburg ).
history
There is no evidence of the history of the place, including the time before 1945 and a possible German name. Kolonia Kawałek could not have been created until after 1945. Despite its small population, the place is the seat of a Schulzenamt ( Polish Sołectwo ) and as such a place within the urban and rural municipality Biała Piska in the Powiat Piski, until 1998 of the Suwałki Voivodeship , since then it belongs to the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship.
