The company has been active in the German real estate market for over 20 years and looks after around 180 properties from six regional locations across Germany. history

DIC Asset was established in 2002 as a portfolio company of DIC Deutsche Immobilien Chances AG & Co. KGaA. In the years that followed, DIC Asset built up a nationwide portfolio of commercial properties, including the takeover of a portfolio of 57 properties from Frankfurter Sparkasse together with MSREF (2004), the acquisition of a portfolio of 45 properties from Munich Ergo AssetManagement ( 2005), the acquisition of the FAY Group's real estate portfolio with 55 properties (2006) and the takeover of the real estate portfolios of SEB Immobilien-Investment GmbH from Hansainvest Hanseatische Investment-GmbH and AXA / DBV Winterthur (2007). As part of the FAY transaction, DIC Asset AG also took over the majority in FAY Property Management GmbH and expanded it into DIC Onsite GmbH, which operates throughout Germany.

In October 2013, the majority takeover of the “UNITE” portfolio with 54 office and commercial properties and a market value of around EUR 481 million.

In June 2019 DIC Asset AG acquired for a purchase price of approx. 225 million euros to the German real estate investment and asset manager GEG German Estate Group with assets under management of over 3.6 billion euros from TTL Real Estate GmbH and the American financial investor Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR).

Exchange history

DIC Asset AG was first listed on the stock exchange in 2003 when the share was listed on the open market in Munich and Stuttgart. In 2006, DIC Asset AG went public on the Prime Standard of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange ; Also in 2006 the DIC Asset AG share was included in the SDAX and in 2007 in the EPRA index .

Corporate strategy and structure

DIC Asset AG, based in Frankfurt, is active in the German real estate market and in two business areas: It owns its own real estate ("Commercial Portfolio") and sets up real estate funds ("Institutional Business"). The company covers the entire value chain from the purchase of a property to property management and sales. The company's employees look after the properties from six regional locations.

Commercial Portfolio

DIC Asset AG's own properties are located in the Commercial Portfolio segment (managed real estate assets: EUR 1.9 billion). The properties are rented on a long-term basis and are being actively developed to achieve an increase in value. DIC Asset AG generates income from renting and selling the properties here.

Institutional Business

In the Institutional Business segment (managed real estate assets: 5.7 billion euros), which operates under the name GEG German Estate Group, DIC Asset AG places investment vehicles and a. Real estate funds, for institutional investors. The real estate funds invest in German commercial real estate, in particular in office real estate and in retail real estate. The purchased properties are looked after by the property management teams of DIC Asset AG during the term of the fund. DIC Asset generates income in this segment through fees for setting up investment vehicles, for buying and selling real estate and for real estate management.

Real Estate Management

As a 100% subsidiary of DIC Asset AG, DIC Onsite GmbH is responsible for operational real estate management, i.e. the administration and management of all real estate. This includes, for example, rental management, commercial management and technical and infrastructural management, but also marketing. In order to be able to offer these services throughout Germany, DIC Onsite operates from 7 locations in Munich, Mannheim, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Hamburg and Berlin.

Management and supervision

The board consists of the chairwoman Sonja Wärntges, Johannes von Mutius as head of the investment division and Patrick Weiden, who is responsible for capital market activities.

The supervisory board has six members; The chairman is Gerhard Schmidt.
