Divín (until 1927 in Slovak "Divíň"; German Diwein , Hungarian Divény - older also Diviny ) is a municipality in central Slovakia .

It is located on the border of Krupinská planina and Lučenská kotlina , on Budínsky potok, which flows southeast of the village into the Ružiná reservoir , 20 km from Lučenec .

The place with the Diwein Castle was first mentioned as Dyun in 1329 .
