Career
Yeo began his career with the Prince George Cougars in the Western Hockey League , where he played from 2003 to 2005. He was then active for two more seasons until the summer of 2007 for league rivals Calgary Hitmen .
In autumn 2007, the defender finally switched to the professional field of the Victoria Salmon Kings in the ECHL . In two years he reached a total of 71 scorer points and also played irregularly for their cooperation partner, the Manitoba Moose , in the American Hockey League . For the 2009/10 season , Yeo moved within the ECHL to the South Carolina Stingrays and completed 49 games there, in which he reached 30 points. For the 2010/11 season he extended with the South Carolina Stingrays, but was soon called up to the Hershey Bears in the AHL. With the Bears he won the Calder Cup .
For the 2011/12 season , Yeo returned to the ECHL and signed a one-year deal with the Ontario Reign . On November 23, 2011 Yeo was loaned to the Oklahoma City Barons and - after he had consolidated his defensive role there - the defender signed an AHL contract with the Barons on January 25, 2012 for the remainder of the game year.
Due to his performance with the Barons, Yeo stayed in the AHL and signed an annual contract with the Toronto Marlies the following summer . After the 2012/13 season , his contract was extended for another year. On July 10, 2014, Yeo signed a contract with the Straubing Tigers in the German Ice Hockey League and left the Marlies after two years.
From June 2018, Yeo was under contract with the Iserlohn Roosters and in the 2018/19 season was one of the DEL defenders with the strongest attack: In a total of 52 games he scored 37 scorer points for the Roosters and collected 106 penalty minutes. He then left the club and was committed to the Schwenninger Wild Wings for two years .
