Elke Zimmermann (politician)

Elke Zimmermann (born October 18, 1973 ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). Zimmermann has been a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament since November 6, 2019 .

Career

Elke Zimmermann works as a qualified child and infant nurse at the Bludenz State Hospital , where she was most recently the exempt chairwoman of the works council . In addition, since December 2014 she has been a member of the supervisory board of Vorarlberger Krankenhaus-Betriebsgesellschaft , the public hospital operating company of the state of Vorarlberg. Politically, Zimmermann is a member of the community board of the Social Democrats in their home community of Bürs , since 2011 deputy of the state party chairman, member of the state party board of the SPÖ Vorarlberg and since 2017 the district party leader of the SPÖ in the Bludenz district . In the union, Elke Zimmermann is the first deputy chairman of the group of social democratic unionists in younion _ Die Daseinsgewerkschaft .

In the state elections in Vorarlberg 2019 , Elke Zimmermann ran nationwide in fourth place on the list of the SPÖ Vorarlberg. After the SPÖ was able to easily gain in the election and thus achieved one more mandate than in the previous state election in 2014 , Elke Zimmermann moved into the state parliament on this fourth SPÖ mandate. She was sworn in as a member in the constituent session of the state parliament of the 31st legislative period on November 6, 2019.
