history
During the Reformation, there was the deanery district as rulers Margrave of Brandenburg-Ansbach , the Bishopric of Eichstätt , the Reichserbmarschälle to Pappenheim , the imperial city of White Castle and chivalry .
The Margraviate of Brandenburg-Ansbach implemented the Reformation in Alfershausen around 1528, in Thalmässing in 1528 or 1529 (St. Marien), in Emetzheim in 1536, in Ettenstatt after the change of ownership in 1599, in Eysölden in 1528 and in Weiboldshausen in 1529. The imperial city of White Castle took in introducing the Reformation to their neighbors, the Margrave of Brandenburg-Kulmbach consideration. Georg the Pious ruled both parts of the country jointly with his brother Kasimir von Brandenburg-Kulmbach . Casimir had rejected the Reformation. Only after his death on September 21, 1527, the Reformation could be introduced in the Margrave in 1528. At this time, Weißenburg must also have joined the Reformation.
Within the knighthood, the hereditary marshals von Pappenheim introduced the new teaching in Alesheim around 1540. The Schenk von Geyern introduced the Reformation in Burgsalach in 1528, in Bergen in 1530 and in Thalmannsfeld around 1530. After the Counter Reformation in 1628, it was restituted in 1650 and the right of use of the church for Catholics was obtained.
