Digital television (DVB-T2)
On April 25, 2018, regular operation of DVB-T2 HD began after the broadcast of DVB-T programs had ended. Since then, the programs of the ARD ( MDR -Mux), the ZDF and the commercial offer of freenet TV ( encoded in Irdeto ) have been broadcasting in the DVB-T2 standard using the HEVC video coding process and in Full HD resolution. The DVB-T2 HD -Ausstrahlungen from Erfurt are in simulcast (Single Frequency Network) with other transmitter sites.

The DVB-T broadcasts were running since 5 December 2005 and were in the single-frequency operation (Single Frequency Network) with other transmitter sites. They were discontinued on April 25, 2018.
