Gerhard Stolle

Gerhard Stolle (born November 11, 1952 ) is a former German middle-distance runner who started for the GDR .

He won silver over 800 meters at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 1973 in Rotterdam, was fifth at the 1974 European Athletics Championships in Rome and won gold at the European Indoor Championships in Katowice in 1975 .

From 1974 to 1976 he was GDR runner-up over 800 meters three times in a row, and in 1976 he was GDR champion over 1500 meters . In the hall he won the national championship title over 800 meters in 1973, 1975 and 1976 and became runner-up in 1972.

Gerhard Stolle started with athletics at the BSG Turbine Falkensee and then started for the ASK Vorwärts Potsdam .
