Stefanie Giesinger (2014), winner of season 9

The ninth season of the German talent show Germany’s Next Topmodel was broadcast between February 6 and May 8, 2014 on the private broadcaster ProSieben . Stefanie Giesinger was chosen as the winner, Jolina Fust came in second ahead of Ivana Teklic.

Overview

Shooting began on October 23, 2013 with designer Wolfgang Joop as the new judge under the motto "Show Yourself", and it was broadcast on February 6, 2014. The title song was again a duet by Britney Spears and will.i.am with It Should Be Easy . Candidates with the minimum age of 16 years and the minimum height of 176 cm could apply online and at castings in ten German cities. Out of more than 15,000 female candidates, 70 were invited to appear before the jury at the Berlin Tempodrom . Two of them were rejected by Heidi Klum because they were too thin. Some of the candidates received one or two pink high heels , which meant advancing to the next round or appearing again in front of the jury as a “wobbly candidate”. 25 ultimately chosen were allowed to travel to Singapore , two of them had to retire after taking photos at the end of the first episode.

The second episode played partly in Singapore and partly in California. Four candidates left the show outside of the elimination round without being mentioned in the program. Klum prevented another exit in the fourth episode when she had her child and boyfriend flown in for a candidate who wanted to return to her child. In the eleventh episode, one of the two wobbly candidates who had to appear before the jury again after the catwalk at the end of the episode announced their voluntary task before they announced their decision. The jury had already decided to let the other candidate drop out. Another candidate was unable to film three episodes because of an expired visa.

The final took place again on May 8, 2014 in Cologne's Lanxess Arena. Show acts were Rita Ora and Ed Sheeran . It was won by Stefanie Giesinger, who only made it into the top 25 as a wobbly candidate in the first episode.

Anna Wilken and Betty Taube-Günter (2017)

Third-placed Ivana Teklic and fourth-placed Aminata Sanogo and Nathalie Volk moved prematurely from OneEins to other agencies in 2014 . In January 2016, Nathalie Volk took on the RTL show Ich bin ein Star - Get me out of here! seventh place and then briefly received its own monthly program on the television station Hamburg 1 . Betty Taube was the protagonist of the format Betty goes ... of the ProSieben magazine taff for the first time in August 2014 when she took viewers through the Japanese capital in five episodes of Betty goes Tokyo . After that, six more city and country tours were broadcast with her in weekly series by 2017. Anna Wilken, who left voluntarily, has been working as a haute couture model since 2016 .
