The place was first mentioned in 804. The closed Hofmark Haag was owned by the Barons Schenk von Stauffenberg for a long time . Franz Graf von Lodron married Maria von Flitzing, widowed von Stauffenberg, in 1632. She owned some court brands north of Freising, the noble seats Triftern, Obertürken and house and property in Landshut, which came into the possession of the Lodrons. The castle was rebuilt in the third quarter of the 17th century. The Hofmark was converted into a patrimonial court around 1819 . When several family members died from cholera in 1836, the Bavarian line of Lodron died out. In 1848 the patrimonial court was dissolved. Haag adAmper became an independent political municipality. In 1854 the castle was almost completely demolished, the rest in 1997.
