Hagsbronn is a district of the town of Spalt in the Central Franconian district of Roth .

geography

The church village is located in the Franconian Lake District and in the Spalter hill country , just under 2 km south of Spalt. The Igelsbachsee is approx. 1.5 km away. It is divided into the "Upper Village" (formerly also called "Höfen") south of the road to Stockheim and the "Lower Village" north of it. Immediately to the north is the Mount of Olives, immediately to the southwest the Hohenfeld. The 3 km long Großweingartener Jura plateau extends west of Hagsbronn.

The district road RH 13 leads after Spalt to state road 2223 (1.7 km northeast) or to Enderndorf (1.8 km south), the RH 18 leads to Großweingarten (2.4 km east) or past Stockheim to Absberg ( 3 km southwest).

history

The older part of the village was the courtyard in the south. At that time it consisted of two farms. One court originally belonged to the Counts of Hirschberg , another court to the Burgraviate of Nuremberg . Both farms were acquired by the Eichstätt bishopric and in 1305 handed over to the Eichstätter cathedral chapter by Bishop Konrad II von Pfeffenhausen . In 1465 the two farms were sold to Ulrich von Leonrod and Erasmus von Leonrod, respectively. The northern part of the village was first mentioned in a document at the beginning of the 14th century as "Habsbrunne". The two farms were an extension of these farms. In 1353 Hagsbronn was raised to a parish, which it remained until 1813.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were four properties in Hagsbronn. The high court was exercised by the Wernfels-Spalt administration office in Eichstatt . The village and township government had the domkapitel'sche Box Office Pleinfeld held. The landlords were the Kastenamt Pleinfeld (1 Gütlein) and the Domkapitel'schen Kastenamt Pleinfeld (2 Ganzhöfe, 1 Gütlein). In addition to the property there was the branch church and communal buildings (school, shepherd's house).

As part of the municipal edict, Hagsbronn was assigned to the Großweingarten tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community Großweingarten founded in 1811 . On January 1, 1972, Hagsbronn was incorporated into Spalt as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .

Hagsbronn is agriculturally oriented, and tourism also plays a role in the local economy thanks to the nearby Brombachsee.
