Hlboké (until 1927 Slovak also "Hluboké"; Hungarian Luboka - until 1907 Hluboka ) is a municipality in western Slovakia . It is located in the Záhorie region , four kilometers from Senica and about 35 kilometers from Trnava .
The place was first mentioned in writing in 1262. In 1843, the codification of the Slovak language was decided here in the place under significant influence of Ľudovít Štúr .
