Hushu culture
The Hushu culture ( Chinese 湖 熟 文化 , Pinyin Húshú Wénhuà , English Hushu Culture ) was a Bronze Age culture in southeast China . The eponymous Hushu site was discovered in 1951 in the Hushu (湖 熟 镇) community of Jiangning in the Chinese province of Jiangsu . The culture was widespread on the lower Yangtze River in Jiangsu and Anhui provinces . Its time position roughly corresponds to the Shang and Zhou times in the Zhongyuan area.
