IC 882 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type S in the constellation Coma Berenices the northern sky . It is estimated to be 309 million light years from the Milky Way and about 75,000 light years in diameter. Presumably it forms a gravitationally bound galaxy pair together with IC 881 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on July 22, 1892 .
