IC 874 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type SB0 in the constellation Hydra south of the celestial equator . It is estimated to be 98 million light years from the Milky Way and about 40,000 light years in diameter.

In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 5061 , NGC 5078 , NGC 5101 , IC 879 .

The object was discovered by Frank Muller on March 14, 1888 .
