IC 876 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SB in the constellation Virgo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 271 million light years from the Milky Way and about 65,000 light years in diameter. Together with IC 871 and IC 873, it forms the gravitationally bound galaxy trio KTG 46 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on June 5, 1893 .
