Jule N. Gartzke (born December 24, 1970 in Würzburg ) is a German actress , choreographer , dance teacher and movement teacher .

Life

Education and theater

Jule Gartzke was born the third of four daughters. In her childhood and youth she received dance and riding lessons. In Würzburg she attended the Friedrich-Koenig-Gymnasium from the 1980/81 school year . After graduating from high school , she studied contemporary dance (majoring) at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen from 1990 to 1995 . She also attended seminars in the fields of acting , pantomime and musicals . During her studies she made her debut in 1992 at the Grillo Theater in Essen in Joshua Sobol's play Ghetto . In the following years she had regular theater engagements, including a. at the Theater Bremen (1995; in Pooh ), at the Schauspielhaus Bochum (season 1996/97; as Elfe in A Midsummer Night's Dream , directed by Peter Fitz / Leander Haußmann ), at the Schauspielhaus Wuppertal (1997) and at the Theater Konstanz (1998; as Mademoiselle in Cyrano de Bergerac , directed by Thomas Goritzki ). Later theater work, partly also as a choreographer , she took over at the Theater im Ballsaal Bonn (2003), at the Schauspielhaus Bochum (2008-2010; choreography with Marigold with music by the Beatles , director: Burghart Klaußner ), at the Musiktheater im Revier (2011) and at PACT Zollverein (2011/2014).

Movie and TV

Gartzke has been working as an actress for film and television since 1999. She first appeared in front of the camera in 1999 in the award-winning Swiss short film Blush (2000). As an actress, she now works almost exclusively for film and television.

In the television film Mein Bruder, der Idiot (2000) by director Kai Wessel (2000), a story about two completely different brothers (one an attractive bar pianist, the other born with Down syndrome ), she played the main female role of Mascha Ahrens at the side of Bobby Brederlow and Martin Feifel . Pedagogy and teaching

Gartzke attended the International School for the FMAlexander Technique from 1995 to 1998, where she trained as a teacher of the Alexander Technique with Chris Stevens and Nadia Kevan . Since 2008 she has been teaching the Alexander Technique for professional dancers and actors at PACT Zollverein in Essen. She led courses and seminars at various Alexander training schools in Germany and internationally. She gave workshops and summer courses, u. a. in Spain , Luxembourg , Wales and the United States . She is the director of her own school for the Alexander Technique in Essen.

She is a member of the Alexander-Technik-Verband Deutschland (ATVD). From 2003 to 2005 Jule Gartzke was a board member of the Alexander-Technik-Verband Deutschland (ATVD). She was also the director of the 8th International Congress of the Alexander Technique in Lugano , Switzerland.

Private

Gartzke lives in Essen and Cologne . She is a member of the Federal Drama Association (BFFS).
