history

Foundation and naming

The club was originally founded in 1982 under the name Mekikspor .

The name Mekik (German weaver shuttle ) comes from the fact that the city of Kızılcabölük is known for its textile processing. Since the founders of the club wanted to clarify the origins of the city, the name Mekikspor was chosen. The name Mekik Gençlik was often chosen among the fans .

Sporting successes and the first promotion to the professional leagues

The first sporting successes occurred in the 2009/10 season. At the end of the season, with the help of the mayor of the city Abdülkadir Uslu , you became master of the Denizli 2nd Amatoer Lig . After the promotion, the board decided to equip itself with experienced players. As a long-term goal, promotion to the TFF 3rd Lig was issued.

As a newcomer to the Denizli 1. Amatoer Lig you managed to become champion again and thus rose to the Denizli Süper Amatoer Lig . In this league, too, they were able to establish themselves quickly and successfully, so that they were allowed to participate in the play-offs in the Boelgesel Amatoer Lig (BAL Lig for short) in the 2011/12 season and won them.

With the promotion to the BAL Lig , a new president named Osman Duran was also elected to the board. This enabled the club to make spectacular transfers, including players from the Denizli Belediyespor licensed clubs or from the reserve team from Denizlispor to Kızılcabölükspor. This season, too, the promotion was made, so that the long-term goal was achieved within four years. The club managed to move up four leagues in four years. In the BAL Lig they were sovereign champions, as they were able to get a total of 66 points in 28 games, with the most goals scored with 73 goals scored and the fewest conceded with 18 goals conceded. The promotion to the professional TFF 3rd Lig was achieved.

In the same season (2012/13), the club's offspring made positive headlines. The U-14 and U-15 of the club became champions among the clubs in Denizli and were therefore allowed to represent the city in the nationwide Turkish finals. Due to these sporting successes of the first team and the youngsters, the 2012/13 season is seen as the most successful season in the club's history to date.

Best placement in the professional leagues

The - from a sporting point of view - best placement in the TFF 3rd Lig was achieved in the 2015/16 season when they finished second in the table at the end of the season and were therefore eligible to play in the playoff promotion games. In the first round or in the semifinals, they met the fifth-placed Düzyurtspor . In the first leg they won a goalless draw away from home. The second leg, which was played in Denizli Ataturk Stadı , was won 1-0 and was thus qualified for the final against Zonguldak Kömürspor (Zonguldak Kömürspor was able to defeat Tire 1922 Spor in the semifinals ). The final was lost 2-1, so that you just missed promotion to the TFF 2nd Lig .

Stadion

Until the 2012/13 season, the club played in the local Tavas İlçe Stadı . Connected with the promotion to the TFF 3rd Lig, the city of Denizli began to build a new stadium for Kızılcabölükspor. Until this stadium was completed, the Doğan Seyfi Atlı Stadı (venue of Denizli Büyükşehir Belediyespor ) was used as an alternative stadium . The newly built stadium was named Kızılcabölük Semt Sahası and opened in 2015.
