Lúčky (German Honneshau or Honneshay , Hungarian Jánosrét - older also Lucska ) is a small community in the central Slovak district ( kraj ) Žiar nad Hronom . From 1980 to 1992 Lúčky was part of the city of Kremnica .
The municipality to the west of the town of Kremnica was first mentioned in writing in 1420, when mainly German speakers lived there. This remained so until the end of the Second World War; after that, most of the residents were expelled, so that the population decreased from around 1500 to 37.
At the last census in 2001, 95.17% of the population said they were Slovaks . In addition, 2.42% Roma , 0.48% Czech and 1.93% German lived here .
The majority of the population of Lúčky is Roman Catholic (84.54%). The remaining percent is divided among those with no religious affiliation or those of other faiths.
