Ihráč (until 1927 Slovak and "Hráč"; Hungarian Dallos - to 1892 Ihrács ) is a municipality in the middle of Slovakia with 514 inhabitants (December 31, 2019), which for Okres Žiar nad Hronom of, part kraj Banskobystrický heard .
geography
The municipality is located in the eastern part of the Kremnica Mountains in the narrow valley of Ihráčsky potok . The center of the village lies at an altitude of 485 m nm and is seven kilometers from Kremnica and 16 kilometers from Žiar nad Hronom .
Neighboring municipalities are Kremnica in the north, Železná Breznica in the east, Trnavá Hora in the south, Jastrabá in the east and Nevoľné in the northwest.
history
Ihráč was first mentioned in writing in 1388 as Graach and at that time it belonged to the territory of the Šášov Castle . At the end of the 17th century the Bergkammer took over the administration. In 1601 there were 16 houses in the village, in 1715 there were two mills and 19 taxpayers. In 1828 there were 60 houses and 400 inhabitants who were employed as lumberjacks and farmers, in addition there was occasional extraction of trachyte tuff.
Until 1918, the place in Bars County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary and then came to Czechoslovakia or now Slovakia.

According to the 2011 census, there were 561 inhabitants in Ihráč, including 544 Slovaks , three Czechs and one Magyar . 13 residents did not provide any information on ethnicity .
510 residents committed to the Roman Catholic Church, three residents to the Evangelical Methodist Church and two residents each to the Evangelical Church AB and the Pentecostal movement; one resident professed a different denomination. 19 residents had no denomination and the denomination of 24 residents was not determined.
