Nevoľné (until 1927 Slovak "Nevolnô"; Hungarian Tormáskert - to 1892 Nyevolno older or Nevolno ) is a municipality in the middle of Slovakia , with 424 inhabitants (December 31, 2019), which for Okres Žiar nad Hronom , part of Banskobystrický kraj , heard.
geography
The community is located in the middle of the Kremnica Mountains on a ridge between the Biely potok and Švábsky potok , which slopes steeply to the west. The municipality is predominantly forested. The town center is located at an altitude of 703 m nm and is six kilometers from Kremnica and 20 kilometers from Žiar nad Hronom .
Neighboring municipalities are Kremnica in the north, Ihráč in the east and south, Bartošova Lehôtka in the south-west and Dolná Ves in the west.
history
The place was mentioned in writing for the first time in 1482, according to other sources only in 1571 as Newolka or Newolna , when it was administered as an estate of the Gran Archdiocese. Nevoľné was first established as a charcoal burner settlement, later woodcutters and farmers settled here. In the 16th century the village had two portals and an abandoned mill, in 1601 there were nine houses, in 1715 there were a total of seven taxpayers. In 1828 there were 37 houses and 217 inhabitants who were employed as farmers, but because of the poorly fertile soil, the inhabitants often sought their sources of income elsewhere.
Until 1918, the place in Bars County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary and then came to Czechoslovakia or now Slovakia. In the inter-war period, the manufacture of wooden tableware, linen and cloth weaving and embroidery were widespread. Later, the inhabitants mainly commuted to the industrial plants in Kremnica, Žiar nad Hronom and Zvolen .

According to the 2011 census, Nevoľné had 434 residents, including 418 Slovaks , two Czechs , one German and one from Rome . 12 residents did not provide any information on ethnicity .
400 residents professed to the Roman Catholic Church and one resident to the Evangelical Church AB. 15 residents were non-denominational and the denomination of 18 residents was not determined.
