La Renaissance
La Renaissance (in Sango E Zîngo ) is the title of the national anthem of the Central African Republic . It was introduced as the official anthem after independence from France in 1960.
The text was written by the Central African priest and politician Barthélemy Boganda as a poem, to which the design of the flag of the Central African Republic goes back. The music was written for the poem by the French composer Herbert Pepper , who lived with his wife in what was then Ubangi-Shari .

translation to German
- Oh Central Africa, you cradle of the Bantu.
- Take back your respect, your right to life!
- Long subjugated, long despised by everyone
- from today you break the grip of tyranny.
- Through work, order, dignity
- will you regain your rights and your unity,
- And to take this step
- this is what our ancestors call us to do.
Refrain:
- To work, neatly and with dignity,
- with respect for the law and in unity,
- Destroying poverty and tyranny,
- the flag of the fatherland raised high.
