Pátria Amada is the official national anthem of Mozambique .

The hymn was composed in 2002 by Justino Sigaulane Chemane . The hymn Viva, Viva a FRELIMO , which was valid until then , glorified the former rulers and became obsolete after the free elections . The same composer then wrote the new anthem.
