Original Amharic text

German translation

We vigilantly respect Ethiopian civil rights.
The pride in the nation shines all over the country:
for peace, justice and freedom of the people.
We are united in equality and love.
Standing firmly on our founding values, we respect human dignity;
Our peoples work through their work.
We stand on the ground of a glorious tradition, guardian of our heritage,
mother of the purity of nature, mother of a courageous people.
We do our duty: We protect you.
Our Ethiopia, long live! We are proud of you!
