Rwanda nziza

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rwanda Nziza ( Beautiful Rwanda ) since 1 January 2002, the national anthem of Rwanda . It replaced the old hymn Rwanda rwacu ( Our Rwanda ), which had existed since 1962 . This was done in an act of renewal, in which the national symbols were exchanged, to put away the bloody history of Rwanda. It is written in Kinyarwanda and deliberately follows a more traditional African style.

The lyrics were written by Faustin Murigo , the music is by Jean-Bosco Hashakaimana , the director of the Rwandan military band.

text

Rwanda nziza Gihugu cyacu
Wuje imisozi, ibiyaga n'ibirunga
Ngobyi iduhetse gahorane ishya.
Reka tukurate tukuvuge ibigwi
Wowe utubumbiye hamwe twese
Abanyarwanda uko watubyaye
Berwa, sugira, singizwa iteka.

Horana Imana murage mwiza
Ibyo tugukesha ntibishyikirwa
Umuco dusangiye uraturanga
Ururimi rwacu rukaduhuza
Ubwenge, umutima, amaboko yacu
Nibigukungahaze bikwiye
Uhore utera imbere ubutitsa.

Abakurambere b'intwari
Bitanze batizigama
Baraguhanga uvamo ubukombe
Utsinda ubukoroni na mpatsibihugu
Byayogoje Afurika yose
None uganje mu bwigenge
Tubukomeyeho ubuziraherezo.

Komeza imihigo Rwanda dukunda
Duhagurukiye kukwitangira
Ngo amahoro asabe mu bagutuye
Wishyire wizane muri byose
Urangwe n'ishyaka utere imbere
Uhamye umubano n'amahanga yose
Maze ijabo ryawe riguhe ijambo.

Rwanda, our beautiful and dear country
Adorned by hills, lakes and volcanoes
Home, you are always full of happiness
For us, your children: Banyarwanda
Let us sing about your splendor and proclaim your high circumstances
You, maternal bosom of all of us
You will always be admired, blooming and covered with praise.

Invaluable inheritance that God will protect you
You have filled us with priceless goods
Our common culture identifies us
Our one language unites us
That our intelligence, our conscience and our powers
Fill you with diverse wealth
For a continuously renewed development.

Our brave ancestors
Gave body and soul
Just as they made you a great nation
You have overcome the colonial-imperialist yoke
That completely devastated Africa
You are the joy of sovereign independence
Acquired that we constantly defend them.

This cape, beloved Rwanda,
We trust you upright
so that there will be peace across the country
That you are free from all obstacles
That your determination will attract progress
That you have excellent relationships with all countries
And finally, that your pride is worth looking at.
