Lesiny ( German Leschienen ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship . He belongs to Kozłowo ( German Koslau ) within the Gmina Sorkwity ( rural community Sorquitten ) in the powiat Mrągowski ( Sensburg district ).
Geographical location
Lesiny is located in the heart of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , 18 kilometers southwest of the district town of Mrągowo ( German Sensburg ).
history
The after 1898 Leschinen called small place had before 1945 a company in the state forest Arrow forest forester as the center and was a dwelling place of the rural community Koslau ( Polish Kozłowo ) in East Prussia Sensburg . In 1905 the Leschienen forestry had 15 residents.
In 1945, in consequence of the war Leschienen came with the entire southern East Prussia to Poland and received the Polish form of the name "Lesiny". Today the place is a part ("część wsi") of Kozłowo (Koslau) , which is also the seat of the responsible Schulzenamt ( Polish Sołectwo ). Both places together belong to the network of the rural community Sorkwity (Sorquitten) in powiat Mrągowski ( Sensburg district ), until 1998 the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then assigned to the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship .

Until 1945 Leschienen was parish in the Evangelical Church of Ribben in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic Church of Kobulten in what was then the diocese of Warmia . Today Lesiny belongs church hand all the way to Rybno : the Protestant church, now a filial community of the parish Sorkwity in the diocese Mazury the Evangelical Augsburg Church in Poland , in addition to the local Catholic parish in the current Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Warmia .

Lesiny is located on a side road that leads from Rybno (Ribben) on Voivodship Road 600 via Kozłowo (Koslau) directly into the small town. There is no connection to rail traffic .
