Załuki ( German Salucken ) is a place in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the rural community Sorkwity ( German Sorquitten ) in the Powiat Mrągowski ( Sensburg district ).
Geographical location
Załuki is located in the heart of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , nine kilometers southwest of the district town of Mrągowo ( German Sensburg ).
history
The small town, called Saalawki before 1785, Saalack around 1785 and Saluck around 1818, was a suburb in the Sorquitten manor district ( Sorkwity in Polish ). In 1785, Saalack was a "noble Vorwerk with three fireplaces". In 1871 there were 28, in 1885 30 and in 1905 only 17 inhabitants.
When all of southern East Prussia was transferred to Poland in 1945 as a result of the war , Salucken was also affected. The place received the Polish form of the name "Załuki" and is now a place within the rural community Sorkwity (Sorquitten) in the powiat Mrągowski ( Sensburg district ), until 1998 the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship belongs.
church
Until 1945 Salucken was parish in the Protestant Church of Sorquitten in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic Church Stanislewo (1931 to 1945 Sternsee , Polish Stanclewo ) in what was then the Diocese of Warmia . Today Załuki belongs to the Protestant parish Sorkwity in the Masuria diocese of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland , and also to the Catholic parish Sorkwity in the current Archdiocese of Warmia in the Polish Catholic Church .
traffic
Załuki is located on the Polish state road 16 ( formerly German Reichsstraße 127 ), which is important for traffic and connects three voivodeships with each other and leads to the Polish-Lithuanian border . Two regional land routes also end in Załuki. There is no rail connection.
