Słomowo ( German Neblisch ) is a small place in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the rural community Sorkwity ( German Sorquitten ) in the powiat Mrągowski ( Sensburg district ).
Geographical location
Słomowo is located in the heart of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , nine kilometers west of the district town of Mrągowo ( German Sensburg ).
history
The place called Neblisch until 1945 was mentioned in 1785 as "a noble Vorwerk with 4 fireplaces". Until 1945 it was a Vorwerk in the Sorquitten estate ( Polish: Sorkwity ) in the Sensburg district in the Gumbinnen district (1905 to 1945: Allenstein district ) in the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1871 Neblisch had 27, in 1885 33 and in 1905 only 21 inhabitants.
1945 Neblisch was in Kriegsfolgemit the entire southern East Prussia to Poland handed over and received the Polish form of the name "Słomowo". Today the place is a settlement ( Polish Osada ) within the rural community Sorkwity (Sorquitten) in powiat Mrągowski ( Sensburg district ), until 1998 the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then assigned to the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship .

Until 1945 Neblisch was parish in the Protestant Church of Sorquitten in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic Church Stanislewo (1931 to 1945 Sternsee , Polish Stanclewo ) in the then diocese of Warmia .
Today Słomowo belongs to the Protestant parish Sorkwity in the diocese of Masuria of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland , also to the Catholic parish Sorkwity in the current Archdiocese of Warmia in the Polish Catholic Church .
traffic
Słomowo is located a few kilometers north of the Polish state road 16 (former German state road 127 ) and can be reached via the Załuki (Salucken) junction on a land route. There is no connection to rail traffic .
