Karczewiec ( German Neusorge ) is a village in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship . It belongs to the village of Rybno ( German Ribben ) within the rural community Sorkwity (Sorquitten) in the powiat Mrągowski ( Sensburg district ).
Geographical location
Karczewiec is located south of the Pillacker See ( Jezioro Piłakno in Polish ) in the heart of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , 15 kilometers southwest of the district town of Mrągowo ( German Sensburg ).
history
Neusorge was once a Vorwerk to Gut Ribben ( Polish Rybno ) in the Sensburg district in the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1905 it had a total of 47 residents in four houses. On September 30, 1928, Neusorge was transferred with the Ribben estate to the Ribben rural community .
When all of southern East Prussia came to Poland as a result of the war in 1945 , Neusorge was also affected. The place received the Polish form of the name "Karczewiec" and is now included in Rybno (Ribben) , to whose Schulzenamt ( Polish Sołectwo ) it also belongs. Together, the two places are integrated into the association of Gmina Sorkwity (Sorquitten) in the powiat Mrągowski ( Sensburg district ), until 1998 the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then part of the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship .

Until 1945, Neusorge was parish in the Evangelical Church of Ribben in the church province of East Prussia, the Church of the Old Prussian Union, and in the Catholic Church of Kobulten in the then diocese of Warmia . Today Karczewiec belongs church hand all the way to Rybno: the Protestant church, a branch community of parish Sorkwity in the diocese Mazury the Evangelical Augsburg Church in Poland , and also to the Catholic parish Rybno in the current Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Warmia .
traffic
Karczewiec is located on Voivodship Road 600 , a traffic- wise important connecting road between the regions of Mrągowo (Sensburg) and Szczytno (Ortelsburg) . From Rozogi (Rosoggen) there is also an overland road into the village. There is no train connection.
