Let's boogie! Live from Parken Stadium is the fourth DVD of the Danish Metal - band Volbeat . It was released on December 14, 2018 via Universal Records and is the first release with bassist Kaspar Boye Larsen .
content
The DVD contains the appearance of Volbeat on August 26th 2017 in the Copenhagen football stadium Telia Parken as part of their tour for the sixth studio album Seal the Deal & Let's Boogie . With over 48,250 spectators, the band set the audience record for a Danish band at a concert in Denmark. In addition, Volbeat was the first Danish band to sell out the stadium. According to singer Michael Poulsen, the preparations for the concert lasted six months.
At the concert, the band played a total of 26 tracks, including the new song The Everlasting . Guest musicians were the singers Mia Maja , Mille Petrozza ( Kreator ), Johan Olsen ( Magtens Korridorer ), Mark "Barney" Greenway ( Napalm Death ), Danko Jones and the Metallica - drummer Lars Ulrich , the boxer Mikkel Kessler and the banjo player Rod Sinclair up. During the song A Warrior's Call , singer Michael Poulsen lost his voice for a short time after too much dry fog was blown onto the stage. Poulsen couldn't breathe and left the stage briefly. After he had to cough vigorously several times , his voice came back.
Singer Michael Poulsen assured in an interview with the German magazine Metal Hammer that nothing on the DVD was recorded afterwards in the studio. Only the guitars were moved to the foreground in a few places, since, according to Poulsen, they would otherwise "have been lost to the singing of the fans". In addition, with a stadium show it would be inevitable that the audience reactions could be heard with a slight delay, so that these were also pushed forward afterwards.
The DVD appears as Blu-ray / double CD , DVD / double CD, double CD, triple LP and as a download .

Reviews
For Sebastian Kessler from the German magazine Metal Hammer, the DVD captures the "unique evening in a flawless sound and crisp picture". "Band and fans" are "in the mood for each other". Let's Boogie: Live from Telia Parken would be "a strong live document whose energy will hopefully spill over onto upcoming studio albums". Kessler awarded six out of seven points. Markus Bellmann from the online magazine Plattentests.de wrote that the DVD shows Volbeat “at the height of their ability” and that the band “can upgrade with incredible enthusiasm despite their success”. Bellmann only criticized the fact that the first two albums were only represented with one or two songs and awarded eight out of ten points.
Chart placements
