Günter Kochan (1930–2009) composed six symphonies , orchestral and chamber music , an opera , cantatas , youth and mass songs as well as for film and radio play .

Most of his works have been published by Edition Peters and the Deutsches Verlag für Musik in Leipzig as well as the Verlag Neue Musik in Berlin.
