from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The list of Japanese-German societies ( Japanese 日 独 協会 , Nichidoku Kyōkai ) includes organizations that aim to maintain German culture and language in Japan and to promote friendly relations between the two countries in different areas. For this purpose, seminars, lectures and German courses are offered, Germans and Japanese are invited to joint activities or trips are organized. Most of these societies are organized in the umbrella organization Association of Japanese-German Societies (VJDG; 全国 日 独 協会 連 合 会 , Zenkoku Nichi-doku Kyōkai Rengōkai ) , which was founded in 1988 .

The German counterpart are the German-Japanese societies with their umbrella organization VDJG .
