Based on the principle of collage , she began to produce reliefs and to create environments around the world . Since 1996, other materials such as papyrus and gold leaf have been added. Working with Far Eastern papers from Japan , Nepal , Korea and China - occasionally also papyrus from Egypt - which usually have a spatial dimension, is characteristic of her work . Her work includes collages, picture objects, transparencies and sculptures , and since the early 1980s she has also created installations ranging from entire paper rooms and environments. She has also been working with light as a design element since the 1990s. Among other things, environments were created with neon letters and neon tubes , also in the form of oriental numbers . Their often monochrome white art is attributed to the realm of concrete art as well as constructivism due to its geometric shapes ; the elements of language also emphasize their proximity to conceptual art . Historical connections or cultural peculiarities of other countries also flow into her work. The numerous sculptures and installations with neon postulate a relationship to light art . She uses forms and a. from geometry , architecture as well as ornaments , numbers and letters. Topics from the humanities and natural sciences, such as Galileo's and Copernicus' world views, as well as writings by important philosophers and writers, provide inspiration for her work.

By 2019, more than 125 rooms (environments) had been realized in public institutions in Europe , Asia , Africa , Arabia and America .
