Maroni is located in the southern center of the island of Cyprus at an altitude of 79 meters, about 45 km south of the capital Nicosia , 29 km southwest of Larnaka and 28 km northeast of Limassol .

The place is about 3 km from the Mediterranean Sea in the coastal hinterland.

Places in the area are Psematismenos and Tochni in the northwest, Chirokitia in the north, Agios Theodoros in the northeast and Zygi and Mari in the west.
