Steinmann played his first game in the men's area on August 4, 2012, on the first match day of the 2012/13 regional league season in a 2-1 away win against FC Oberneuland . This was followed by 14 more missions, mostly from the start, in which he scored a goal. Only in the second half of the season he was mostly used in the A-Youth (U19) in the A-Junior Bundesliga . In the 2013/14 season - his last year in the youth field - Steinmann commuted between the U23 and U19. He came to 14 appearances in the Regionalliga Nord and eleven appearances in the A-Junioren-Bundesliga, in which he scored four goals. In the second half of the 2013/14 Bundesliga season , Steinmann was twice on the bench in a Bundesliga game between the professionals, but was not coached by Mirko Slomka either in the game against Eintracht Frankfurt (1-1) on matchday 24 or in the game against FC Bayern Munich (1: 4) came on as a substitute on the 33rd matchday.
