The NBA All-Star Game Most Valuable Player Kobe Bryant Award every year in February to the best player of the NBA All-Star Games awarded. The prize has been awarded since 1953 . The winners of the first two years were elected retrospectively.
In light of the tragic death of 18-time All-Star Kobe Bryant in January 2020, the NBA All-Star Game Most Valuable Player Award was dedicated to its four-time winner the following month and renamed the NBA All-Star Game Kobe Bryant MVP Award . Bryant was nominated for the game 18 times, played in 15 All-Star Games and was the youngest NBA All-Star of all time at the age of 19. He shares the record as a four-time award winner with Bob Pettit .
