NSWRL 1916

The NSWRL 1916 was the ninth season of the New South Wales Rugby League Premiership , the first Australian rugby league championship.

In 1916 two teams, the Balmain Tigers and the South Sydney Rabbitohs , tied, which is why a Grand Final was held for the first time since 1911. In the Grand Final, the Tigers won 5-3 against the Rabbitohs and won the NSWRL for the second time.
