NSWRL 1978

The 1978 NSWRL was the 71st season of the New South Wales Rugby League Premiership , the first Australian rugby league championship. The first place in the table after the end of the regular season occupied the Western Suburbs Magpies . They lost in the semifinals 7:14 against the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles , who met the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in the final . After the actual final went out 11:11, Manly-Warringah won the replay 16-0 and won the NSWRL for the 4th time.
