The NSWRL 1911 was the fourth season of the New South Wales Rugby League Premiership , the first Australian rugby league championship. The first place in the table after the end of the regular season occupied Glebe . They lost in the final 8:11 against the Eastern Suburbs RLFC , which won their first title.

In 1911 revenues were £ 15,889, an increase of £ 2,477 over the previous year. On June 22nd, the first rugby league game took place at the Sydney Cricket Ground , in which a national team from the Australian state of New South Wales beat New Zealand 35:10 .

    Playoffs

    The 1911 playoff format stipulated that, as in the previous year, the first and second in the table competed against each other in the final. However, should the table runner-up win, the top of the table would have the right to request a replay to take place a week later. However, since the Eastern Suburbs and South Sydney were tied, there was an elimination game first, who would play against the table top Glebe.
