NSWRL 1952

The 1952 NSWRL was the 45th season of the New South Wales Rugby League Premiership , the first Australian rugby league championship. The first place in the table after the end of the regular season occupied the Western Suburbs Magpies . They won in the final 22:12 against the South Sydney Rabbitohs and won the NSWRL for the fourth time.

    Playoffs

    In fact, South Sydney would have won the NSWRL after beating North Sydney. Since Western Suburbs had the so-called "Right of Challenge" as the winner of the Minor Premiership, the Grand Final between Western Suburbs and South Sydney took place a week later.
