NSWRL 1942

The NSWRL 1942 was the 35th season of the New South Wales Rugby League Premiership , the first Australian rugby league championship. The first place in the table after the end of the regular season occupied the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs . They won the final 11: 9 against the St. George Dragons and won the NSWRL for the second time.

    Playoffs

    In fact, St. George would have won the NSWRL after beating the Eastern Suburbs. Since Canterbury had the so-called "Right of Challenge" as the winner of the Minor Premiership, the Grand Final between Canterbury and St. George took place a week later.
