Neblitz (also Mark Neblitz ) is a district in the northeast of Leipzig .

It has an area of ​​108 hectares and is located in the Seehausen district , which also includes Hohenheida and Gottscheina . It borders in the south on the districts of Hohenheida and Gottscheina, in the north on Krostitz , in the east on Mutschlena and in the west on Hohenossig , both of which are districts of Krostitz. The Neblitz district is undeveloped and is only used for agriculture.

The Mark Neblitz was incorporated into Seehausen on January 1, 1992 with Gottscheina and Hohenheida and came to the City of Leipzig on July 1, 1997 with the Seehausen community. Since then, the northernmost point of Leipzig has been on the Mark Neblitz.

Nelmitz

The village of Nelmitz was located in the district of Neblitz until 1414, when it was owned by the Petersberg Monastery until 1414, when it came to the University of Leipzig . Even before the Reformation, Nelmitz was mentioned as a desert whose fields came to Gottscheina.
