Niaqornaarsuk [ niɑˌqɔˈnːɑːsːuk ] (according to the old spelling Nia nachornârssuk ) is a deserted, fallen Greenland shepherd settlement in the Nanortalik district in Kujalleq municipality .
location
Niaqornaarsuk is located south of a cape of the same name on the Aanerup Kuua River and on the east bank of the Uunartup Kangerlua . On the opposite side of the fjord is the abandoned shepherd's settlement Narsarsuaq . 11 km to the north-west is Ammassivik, the next larger town.
Population development
Niaqornaarsuk is given for 1977 with two inhabitants and for 1978 with one. The shepherd's settlement has been abandoned since then.
