Tinuteqisaaq [ tˢinutˢɜqiˈsɑːq ] (according to the old spelling Tinuteĸissâĸ ) is a desolate Greenlandic settlement in the Nanortalik district in the municipality of Kujalleq .

location

Tinuteqisaaq is located on an island of the same name in an archipelago northeast of Itilleq (Eggers Ø) and therefore very isolated. The next inhabited place, Aappilattoq , is 48 km to the northwest.

history

Tinuteqisaaq is mentioned as a residential area in the 1901 Atlas. However, the location did not appear in the 1900 census. Even afterwards, Tinuteqisaaq is no longer found. Presumably it was a residential area with only nomadic settlements, which was abandoned after a short time.
