Nunatsiaat [ nuˌnat͡siˈaːtˢʰ ] (according to the old spelling Nunatsiait ; also Nunatsiaq ) is a desolate Greenlandic settlement in the Nanortalik district in the municipality of Kujalleq .

Nunatsiaat was on a small island in the Salliit archipelago , on which the Udsted of the same name used to be. Both places were about halfway between Alluitsup Paa and Nanortalik in the open sea of the Labrador Sea .
history
Nunatsiaat was settled before 1845 and existed as a place to live when Salliit was founded. For 1900 there are 27 residents. Then the place was abandoned. In 1918 Nunatsiaat was no longer mentioned in the census.
