Saqqarmiut [ ˌsɑˈqːɑmːiutˢʰ ] (according to the old spelling Sarĸarmiut ) is a deserted Greenlandic settlement in the Nanortalik district in the municipality of Kujalleq .

location

Saqqarmiut is located on the south coast of Christian IV Ø at the mouth of the Tannera and Qilakitsoq fjords . Aappilattoq is the nearest town, 24 km to the northwest .

history

Saqqarmiut was settled before 1880. In 1900 23 people lived at the place where they lived. Saqqarmiut was abandoned within the next twenty years.
