Inuaq [ inuˈɑq ] (according to the old spelling Inuaĸ ) is a deserted Greenlandic settlement in the Nanortalik district in the municipality of Kujalleq .
location
Inuaq's position is not entirely clear. Presumably the place was in the south of the island Uunartoq 13 km east of Alluitsup Paa .
history
Inuaq does not appear in the 1845 census and must therefore have been settled later. The place does not appear on a map from 1880 either. In the 1899 census, 14 residents were counted. Inuaq is missing on a map from 1918. Presumably the place was given up around 1910.
