Kiinaalik [ kiːˈnaːlik ] (according to the old spelling Kînâlik ) is a desolate Greenlandic settlement in the Nanortalik district in the municipality of Kujalleq .
location
Kiinaalik was the most north-westerly place of today's district and is located on the southwest coast of a peninsula in the sea area of Qaarsup Kangia . The closest places are Eqalugaarsuit 11 km northwest, Alluitsup Paa 15 km south-southeast and Saarloq 16 km west-southwest.
history
Kiinaalik was settled around 1800. In 1915 the population moved to Nuugaarsuk on the other side of the peninsula and Kiinaalik was abandoned.
