Illorsuatsiaat [ iˌɬːɔsːuat͡siˈaːtˢʰ ] (according to the old spelling Igdlorssuatsiait ; also Illorsuatsiaq ) is a deserted Greenlandic settlement in the Nanortalik district in the municipality of Kujalleq .
location
Illorsuatsiaat was the southernmost residential area in Greenland and was located at Cape Ipiutaq on the southeast side of the island Toornaarsuk . The closest inhabited settlements are Narsarmijit 29 km northwest and Aappilattoq 30 km north.
history
Illorsuatsiaat was settled in 1898. The residential space was given up again in 1917.
